Exporting

Exporting can be done to either World Compendiums or Module Compendiums. Clicking the Export Campaign Codex button at the bottom of the journal panel opens the Export dialogue.

  • Campaign Codex creates a World Compendium set on export, and a name can be selected on export.
  • To enable exporting to a Module Compendium, ensure that the module has a Scene, Journal, Items & Actors Compendium and the edit lock is off in your world. Module Compendium are ideal for sharing between worlds.

Perform cleanup before export: Campaign Codex sheets are checked for any broken relationships and are removed before export.

Export Linked Scenes: Exports the linked scenes to Compendium, updating links. It will also include placed actors and journals used for notes in the export.

Prune empty folders after export: Scans the Compendium for empty folders and removes them.

Export Target: World

The Compendium Set Name will be auto-generated if left blank. Exporting will scan the world for all Campaign Codex journals, all the linked journals, actors, items and scenes (if selected), copy them to the created World Compendium and update the linking relationships.

Export Target: Module

Export Type: Whole World

Exporting to a module allows for the selection of the export type: Whole World or Pack. Exporting the Whole World works similarly to the Export Target: World, except that it places the content in the selected Module. Exporting a Whole World is destructive and will remove ALL journals from the target compendium before exporting.

If the Module is not coming up as an Export Target, ensure that the module has a Scene, Journal, Items & Actors Compendium, and the edit lock is off in your world.

Export Type: Pack

Exporting a pack enables the targeting export of a single folder of journals and all their linked resources. It exports to a named folder in the compendium and is an additive process (won’t overwrite).
